We went to the Bishop Museum our first day. Our Hawaiian penpals had set up a room to greet us and had gifts for all of us. They gave us leis, another backpack, shirts, candy, and other gifts. They greeted us with a traditional greeting of a song in Hawaiian. We then stood in a circle and we all introduced ourselves. We shared the Igloo dance and they shared a hula dance. It was sure fun meeting our penpals.
