Tomorrow, Tomorrow, I love ya, Tomorrow!

Tomorrow is the BIG day. We leave at 8:30 am. The students have to be at school at 7:45 for breakfast and bag check. Many are already having trouble sleeping at night as the excitement mounts. It's still hard to believe ten little kids have accomplished such a huge feat. Raising over $28,000 in our tiny little village speaks volumes of how strongly people want their children to experience life. Hats off to all of those who helped in big and small ways. Without ALL of you we could not have done this. As someone told the students today, "This trip will change your life, enjoy every moment of it." We hope they return with more than just a tan. They will gain knowledge of new cultures and places they have only dreamed of up until this time in their lives. Hopefully we'll be able to post tomorrow from the King Kamehameha Campus in beautiful Honolulu, Hawaii complete with photos. Thank you again - Quyannukpuq! We are only 5 days away from starting on the most exciting adventure of a lifetime. On Wednesday April 28, 2010 we will depart for Honolulu, Hawaii! Everyone is excited and having a hard time believing the time is almost here. The fund raising is finished, the bags are being packed, the reading assignments are almost complete, and the warm weather awaits. I am so extremely proud of the ten students who have worked tirelessly for over a year to make this possible. And a HUGE Quyannukpuq goes out to the parents and family members who baked countless brownies, cookies, maple bars, and other goodies in support of their children. Without your support this would not be possible.

The excitement mounts as I'm sure the butterflies will also as the day draws near. Keep us in your thoughts and prayers for safety and an incredible learning experience. We'll keep you posted on what we see and do.
Quyanna again.
